Full Job Description

What you'll do

Role title: Project Manager
Function: Corporate IT Services
Band/Grade: G11
Department: Office IT
Reports to: Joanne Towers-van Delsen
Location: UK

Role purpose: The role encompasses the end-to-end accountability for execution of Projects within Office IT to deliver what's needed for new capability, service release or upgrades according to agreed planning, budget and quality. This accountability applies to all services and projects being deployed and introduced according to the global footprint of Office IT. This role currently encompasses the current Office IT integrated countries but there will be an increase in scope as more countries are integrated.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Ensure effective initiation of projects with appropriate approvals (PRB/TDO) and implement governance to agree scope/ deliverables/ plans.


  • Ensure effective project organisation to deliver agreed scope/ timeline and agree measures to be tracked by governance board.


  • Identify, engage and inform stakeholder


  • Gain Senior Management "buy in" across Stakeholder communities impacted by Projects


  • Deliver Projects to agreed measures and accountable for issues/ risk management to ensure that appropriate escalation/ remediation is put in place to ensure programme is kept on track.

    Technical / professional qualifications:

  • Fluent Written and Spoken English


  • Proven experience in Software Development using Agile.


  • Experience in the implementation of large-scale complex solutions for multi-functional, multi-national, matrix-based organizations


  • Experience in the definition and design of simple solutions for complex service scenarios.


  • Experience in building and selling business cases for complex projects/ programmes.


  • Proven experience in senior customer relationship management


  • Budget and cost management


  • Proven ability to build high performing teams


  • Able to communicate clearly at executive & senior management level and deliver compelling presentations


  • Degree or equivalent in a computer science or a scientific/technical discipline


  • PRINCE 2 Practitioner & Agile Scrum Master Certified is desirable
