Full Job Description
- To work with the CEO to deliver the new Derbyshire Communities Against Scams project in accordance with the plan and SLA agreed with the funder.
- To act as the main point of contact for the project, both internally and externally.
- To liaise with Derbyshire Police Fraud Prevention Officer
- Work with the CEO and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner to scope out the various elements of the project as set out in the proposal.
- Attend regular briefings and planning meetings with OPCC and police force representatives. Provide project updates and report on target outputs and achievements.
- Establish a network of voluntary organisations in priority communities (people experiencing poverty, isolated rural communities, digitally excluded and older people) especially targeting known hotspots for scams as identified by the police.
- To attend meetings of the Financial Abuse Group chaired by the CEO of Age UK and other strategic or operational groups that are relevant.
- Develop a training programme for staff and volunteers to build awareness of scams and how people can spot a scam and avoid financial losses.
- Build a strong partnership with police colleagues, statutory community safety partners and the voluntary sector
- Develop an online resource hub on RAD's website and ensure content is regularly updated.
- Develop the network to expand geographical coverage and demographic reach.
- Develop plans for year two around a champions model, training and supporting peer volunteers to help victims report a fraud and access support as well as providing friendship and rebuilding confidence.
- To work with the Project Coordinator to support the coordination of the digital inclusion project - Digital Support Derbyshire, acting as a point of contact internally and externally.
- To provide leadership, support and direction to the Project Coordinator, working towards an agreed Annual Plan.
- With the Policy and Partnerships Manager ensure that the project is delivered as per agreed SLAs with funders.
- To take the lead on specific areas of work as agreed with the CEO and PPM, for example Digital Support Derbyshire small grants and developing pilot projects to promote digital health.
- Coordinate network and steering group meetings and communication, any ad hoc events, conferences etc including arranging and calling meetings, preparation of agendas and minutes, and handling relevant correspondence.
- Manage the day-to-day relationships with key partners, including; DCC, NHS, digital support projects, CVS's, digital projects and leaders across the country, ICT equipment providers, food banks/pantries etc to ensure good communication, effective working and sharing best practice.
- To create and disseminate project materials, guides, email bulletins and general updates to raise awareness and understanding of the project internally and externally.
- Identify and share good practice across the digital support network.
- To take responsibility for keeping the RAD website pages and social media presence updated and relevant.
- To manage the monitoring requirements for the project, including the creation and collation of monitoring/evaluation processes to gather the information required to demonstrate to funders progress towards agreed targets and outcomes.
- Processing of project invoice payments and receipts and supporting the PPM to manage the project budget.
- Assist in developing and supporting effective communication, networking and relationship building across the network and project.
- Be always aware of RAD policies and procedures and act within the parameters of these policies and to follow the RAD values, ethos and team approach.

- Undertake any additional reasonable duties commensurate with the grading and responsibilities of the post.
- The postholder may be subject to additional Police security checks to enable attendance on Police Fraud Prevention Training.

Grade/Salary: Scale Point 16 - 17 (DoE) - Hours: 22.5 - 30 hours per week (to be agreed)

- Probation Period: 3 months
- Location: Office based (Matlock) with scope for some remote working and countywide travel
