Full Job Description

The Opportunity: As an integral part of the WestRock PM&A future success, reporting to the Operations Director the Project Execution Manager will be responsible for steering the execution of the project by organizing, co-ordinating and leading the project teams in respect of costs, quality and timelines.

How You Will Impact WestRock

· Lead the operational projects, setting the example of Safety, quality, performance, values and behaviors with a positive outlook.

· Kick off the project internally to the operations ensuring all departments understand timeline, costs and expectations.

· Working with department heads to allocate necessary resource to project team.

· Organise weekly project update meetings on each project with project team.

· Monitor cost, resource, timeline and quality throughout the life cycle of the project.

· Manage interactions between all departments involved.

· Initiate and lead all project follow up meetings.

· Participate in the continuous improvement of the operational side of the business.

· Responsible for all the decisions necessary for the successful completion of the project.

· Responsible for all stages of the project from launch to customer acceptance.

· Responsible for cost, quality, any delays with the machine and these must be informed to the relevant management throughout the project life cycle.

· Functional project team management, effective communication skills, influencing and persuasive skills

· Project management skills on cost management, timelines and associated tools

· Assertiveness and dealing with challenging, difficult people, managing stressful situations and projects whilst not demotivating others

· Operational task Management, business writing reports and presentation of data, planning and prioritizing activities

· The ability to lead others and work well within a team environment being a positively influencer

· Understanding Health and Safety policy and responsibilities in conjunction with manufacturing processes and staff

· Being highly technical and thorough, professional, and proficient

· Knowledge of general mechanical, electrical and automation engineering processes

· Problem solving, using known techniques (Operational Learning, Fish bone, 5 Whys etc.) in an efficient manner

· Collaborating in team activities (5S, TIMWOODS), promoting team ethic and spirit

· Support / involvement in any future company transition to a new ERP system and ongoing changes.

· Encouraging new ideas, implementing, and promoting high performance team ethics within site and beyond.

· Promoting positive performance analysis for project activity What Went Well (WWW) and Area for Improvement (AFI) reporting
