Project Engineer

• Primary focus will be working closely with our IOD (Industry Order Desk - Project execution team) and Proposals team to design and execute state of the art laboratory solutions


• Responsible for design integrity of project and products


• Conduct engineering studies for customers


• Assist proposal team with review of customer specifications, suggestion of existing and new technical solutions


• Plan , coordinate and execute installation and commissioning of systems


• Provide training to customers in the operation and maintenance of systems


• Supports technical development of members within the FLSmidth team


• Analyse complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures


• Completes Engineering design and drawings including 3D and 2D modelling deliverables of a project on time and within budget


• Perform electrical calculations and simulations


• Design and implementation of modifications for products


• Participate "on the tools" work in the workshop including mechanical assembly, fabrication and modification, Kindly note that we will be reviewing applications and conducting interviews on an ongoing basis so please apply as soon as possible.
  
  Nice to have - Tertiary Qualification in Mechatronics or Electrical


• Experience in a similar role within a similar industry is preferred


• 3D and 2D CAD experience with drafting knowledge, preferably Inventor, AutoCAD and Vault a plus


• Knowledge and experience of ePlan would be an advantage


• Experience with laboratory automated systems


• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
