Full Job Description

As a Programme Procurement Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll lead the procurement responsibilities for the projects and programs you oversee, bringing together your team's ideas, successes, and challenges. You'll have the opportunity to turn your team's concepts into reality, developing strategies and coordinating with the Senior Leadership Team and other colleagues to implement changes and drive best practice procurement.

Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for the identification, initiation and implementation of effective and innovative procurement and supply chain solutions as well as:

  • Leading and managing your strategic portfolio's Procurement and Supply Chain team

  • Driving best practice, strategic sourcing, supplier development and performance monitoring and common sourcing initiatives throughout your team

  • Ensuring that your team is working in a consistent, collaborative and proactive way across the business to develop supply chain strategies, activities and behaviours that will deliver on-going added value to the business

  • Management of all commercial and contractual aspects relating to packages of work ensuring compliance with required corporate governance and approvals

  • Ensuring that the company's commercial position is best protected and is properly reflected through contractual and transactional processes and by designing and implementing the right relationship management structures


  • This position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.

    This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with two days in the office/onsite and three days working from home.

    Essential experience of the Programme Procurement Manager
  • Experience of developing and implementing sound, pragmatic sourcing solutions in a complex, high integrity project based industry

  • A significant track record in working with key internal and external stakeholders, to influence outcomes, identifies and secures opportunities to maximise value and minimise risk

  • Experience of leading teams and developing the function

  • Experience of working with sub-contract suppliers, particularly Original Equipment Manufacturers

  • Development and practical application of supply strategies, strategic sourcing techniques and supply/supplier management

  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, interpersonal and communication skills


  • Qualifications for the Programme Procurement Manager
  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent

  • MCIPS qualified, working towards, or other equivalent professional qualifications

  • Clean driving licence


  • Security Clearance
    The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
