Full Job Description

We are looking to expand our Production Team based in Cinderford, Gloucestershire. This is an interesting & varied role assisting with the production of dock levellers & ancillary steel products for parts, installations & repairs; produced to specific customer requirements in accordance with the relevant British Standards, paperwork & drawings.,

  • Read drawings to determine & produce welded assemblies

  • Rotate through all welding bays to increase knowledge & multitask

  • Be flexible & able to move to other areas within the factory when required

  • To maintain a high standard & quality of work

  • Ensure safe working practices at all times

  • Responsible for good housekeeping in your own work area

    This list is not exhaustive & the jobholder will be expected to undertake any duties within their capacity to meet the needs of the business & or the welding function.

  • Must have the ability to read & interpret engineering drawings

  • Must be able to Mig weld (Tig welding experience is an advantage but not essential)

  • Must be able to use hand tools, grinders, air drills, etc

  • Ideally, have worked in a similar production welding type environment

  • Demonstrate dexterity & have the ability to pick up new tasks quickly

  • Work to time frames and manage workload efficiently, MIG welding: 2 years (required)

    Working hours: 40 per week - 06:30 am to 15:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 06:30 am to 2:15 pm on Friday.

    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

    Salary: Up to £33,280.00 per year
