Production Operative

Contribute to achievement of the overall business success by the safe and efficient handling of our beer and soft drinks during receipt, processing and delivery to the packaging lines. The role also involves supporting the training of other operators to raise their skill levels. You will have responsibility for achieving and exceeding all KPI targets. With responsibility for the organisation of resources, preparation and delivery of products to the packaging lines to a standard at or beyond our customers' expectations.

This will normally take place on any shift required by the business typically working Monday to Friday on Mornings and Afternoons. Bank Holidays are inclusive of normal working, expect Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

THIS ROLE IS ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

• Setting up and running plant equipment to achieve excellent standards in safety, quality, productivity and performance.


• Fault finding & rectification.


• Completion of all relevant records


• Coaching to improve performance.


• Supporting training and monitoring other operators


• Leading and participating in continuous improvement activity.


• Role modelling the required behaviours and standards of work.


• Updating SSOW & Risk Assessments as required


• QA sampling, testing & recording of results.

• Have achieved or be working towards IBD Certification in Packaging


• Engineering or maintenance experience


• Experience in Food FMCG or equivalent process industry.


• Knowledge and use of lean methods & tools


• Previous Experience of liquids processing / packaging or related role, preferably in food and drinks industry, Engineering or maintenance: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• IBD Certification in Packaging (preferred)
  
  Production Operative - Pay rate is initially £13.47 per hour, and the hours are 40 per week on rotating shifts 6.30 or 7.30am starts on mornings and 1.30 or 2.30pm starts on afternoons Mon-Fri, Competitive annual leave of 35 days inclusive of Bank holidays
