Production Manager

· Safety, pace and quality using Key Position Indicators to drive improvements.

· Management of inventory to control costs and exceed customer expectations.

· Labour, resources and training to achieve compliance to plan and improve efficiencies.

· Setting and maintaining standards to minimise the cost of quality.

· Planned preventative and corrective maintenance scheduling to maximise machine time availability.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

· Execute daily & weekly production schedules as agreed with the Operations Administrator ensuring Compliance to Plan

· Drive cost reductions and increase productivity in all areas of production

· Management of site labour costs (KPI) & site contributions (KPI)

· Monitoring productivity rates, standards, and quality controls (KPI)

· Project manage site improvements

· Provide leadership and development opportunities for all production staff

· Develop staff training plans with Training Manager to remove skills gaps and prevent skills fade

· Responsibility for the timely bookings of goods in, work in progress and finished goods to maintain accurate control of inventory

· Manage site transport and inventory transfers between sites

· Understanding and management of the SI system for yield reporting, accurate inventory control and relevant metrics (KPI)

· Implementing all the company's procedures and policies

· Maintain technical and food safety compliance and conformance with support

· Ensure Team Leaders are completing all timely transactions and bookings

· Ensure an 'audit ready' approach in all areas

· Strong communication and feedback of progress or issues to senior management
