Production Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to lead our team at Trade Oak. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of production, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring progress to ensure that production targets, customer due dates and deliveries are met.,

• Manage the day-to-day demands of the factory shop floor leading the production team to achieve daily tasks and objectives.


• Build a team ethic, working with the shop-floor.


• Ensure production targets and efficiencies are achieved in line with works orders and delivery due dates.


• Be responsible for the procurement of production and purchase orders in line with manufacturing and delivery schedules.


• Control and implement the Health and Safety policies, practices and legislation.


• Maintain and raise the maintenance schedules and tooling needs of the factory and machines.


• Plan and schedule production activities to ensure that production targets are met.


• Actively work hand in hand with the shop floor implementing production improvements, controlling quality and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.


• Plan, schedule and action customer deliveries and site fittings.


• Monitor progress and adjust schedules and resources as necessary to ensure efficient production.


• Accountable for the accuracy and quality of machined parts and dispatches.


• Manage and reduce waste as per company procedures.


• Generate and drive production KPIs, monitoring productivity rates, standards and quality control.


• Support the daily production activities with a hand-on approach, working with production building a team culture.


• Maintain and improve stock and the stock control system ensuring the accuracy of materials.


• Be professional and a team player with the ability to lead others.


• Identifying opportunities for process improvement, making recommendations where necessary, adopting a continuous improvement approach using LEAN manufacturing methods.
  
  Personable with proven man-management skills and the ability to lead and coach others.


- Minimum of 3 years proven Production Management experience, ideally within a timber / wood manufacturing environment.

- A technical and practical understanding of the construction and machinery of products.

- Results-driven with a positive attitude and an attention to detail.

- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and methods with an understanding and exposure of ISO 9002 standards.

- Health and Safety knowledge / qualification to enforce OSHA regulations and protocols. (LOLER / PUWER etc).

- Physically fit with the ability to support the daily requirements on the shop floor.

- Ability to read and interpret product technical information and drawings.

- Good level of computer and written literacy.

- Forklift trained an advantage.,

Licence/Certification:
