Full Job Description

The Product Development Coordinator will support the Head of Merchandising in organizing all stages of the production process from concept ideation to final production. They will act as the main point of contact between Lightbox cross-functional team members, external design partners and manufacturing vendors.

  • Coordinate and maintain the day-to-day development procedures for new jewelry under the direction of the Head of Merchandising.

  • Contribute to the development of new product lines including collaborations, from design, prototyping work and all required suppliers along the whole development chain.

  • Work closely with merchandising, design and overseas and domestic vendors to execute design intent while ensuring timelines, costs and margins are being met.

  • Support with the integration of the NPD work with the other departments of Lightbox.

  • Own all document maintenance relating to product development: Product briefs, product specification sheets, PD trackers, Costing sheets, line sheets, etc.

  • Communicate daily with overseas and domestic vendors on aesthetics, cost and manufacturing needs for all samples and components, while ensuring prompt delivery.

  • Maintain, track, & organize all incoming samples for internal review and photography.

    Bachelors degree in a relevant field of study is desirable.

  • Experience in fashion and/or fine jewelry development required.

  • Knowledge of fine jewelry manufacturing techniques and familiarity with fine jewelry materials/costing required.

  • Previous experience working with overseas and domestic vendors preferred.

  • Open minded, flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.

  • Exceptionally well organized, efficient and self motivated.

  • Proficient Microsoft Office computer skills (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
