Full Job Description
We're on the lookout for a talented and committed individual to fill the role of Procurement Coordinator at Anglian Dental Engineering. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and cost-effective procurement of goods and services for our company., As a Procurement Coordinator, you'll be responsible for managing relationships with suppliers, maintaining the right stock levels, coordinating with various departments, and supervising the entire procurement process from order placement to goods receipt. The role also involves strategic tasks such as predicting price increases and making strategic purchasing decisions.,
- Keep track of order status and liaise with the finance department to ensure that all invoices have been paid.
- Keep the system up to date with all order-related information.
- Liaise with other departments and update them on the order status.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding the order status.
- Maintain stock levels and keep the product catalogue up-to-date and in order on the system.
- Forecast price increases for each supplier proactively and notify the line manager ahead of time to enable strategic buying decisions.
- Record delivery notes against relevant purchase orders on the system.
- Deal with returns and repairs where needed.
- Identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts and pricing terms.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all necessary information is available for procurement activities.
- Coordinate the shipping of orders using third-party carriers such as Royal Mail or Hermes.
- Accountable for assisting with the setup of the new IT system, particularly from a stock control perspective.
- Accountable for sending small equipment parts/equipment out to customer sites.
- Responsible for providing tools for new engineers and managing van stock control.
- Accountable for handling Profi ordering.
- Responsible for placing purchase orders for the Service Operations Team.
Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. - Understanding of procurement processes and strategies desirable., Procurement: 1 year (preferred)
