Full Job Description

  • Being responsible for the overall operation of the Sewage Treatment Works, the plant and equipment.

  • Carry out High voltage and related low voltage switching operations.

  • Monitoring, collating and reporting data to ensure that statutory and regulatory compliance is met and the site meets regulatory quality standards and customer demand.

  • Processing faults and advise suitable rectification by first fix, raising issues to the Maintenance Scheduler or Team Leader as required.

  • Carrying out isolations to plant and issuing Permits to work as part of a safe system of work.

  • Assisting with on-site capital project works, coordinating completing maintenance and operational personnel raising reactive work when required.

  • Regularly collect water samples from around the site and complete basic laboratory analysis on them.

  • Monitoring stock levels and request and take deliveries as required.

  • Undertaking safety and security checks and taking responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues.

  • Operate and monitor the processes from the Control room using SCADA, and when necessary, go into the process area to carry out operations.

    Technical C&G or HNC desirable but not essential.

  • Completion of NVQ level 2 units, BTEC or equivalent experience.

  • Prepared to be trained in safety procedures.

  • Significant experience in a relevant industry and with experience managing or controlling the relevant treatment processes.

  • Ability to work unsupervised on 12-hour shifts, day or night.

  • Fully competent at using the appropriate Company IT systems and Office software.

  • Previous experience with SCADA systems would be an advantage.

  • A current manual driving licence is also required.
