Principal Stress Engineer

We have an opportunity for a Principal Stress Engineer to join our Aerospace group in Yeovil. The successful applicant will be responsible for stress, vibration, and heat transfer analyses of our mechanical systems and components.

Principal Stress Engineer responsibilities

· Perform the Technical oversight of Stress Analysis for all research and development programs within the Life Support Systems(LSS) and Environmental Control Systems (ECS) area of responsibility

· Technical expert in Stress Analysis for LSS and ECS, being regarded as the 'go to' person for guidance.

· Coach and mentor less experienced engineers in the organization on domain specific activities

· Support TRR and staffing activities

· Perform regular assessments of team performance and provide regular feedback to the leadership team including early escalation of risks

· Perform stress analysis using complex finite element & classical book calculation methods, & support testing
