HMP New Hall is a Closed Category prison for female adults, juveniles and young offenders located in Flockton, West Yorkshire. The site consist of departments offering healthcare support across primary care, mental health, substance misuse, pharmacy, psychology & psychiatry, opticians, podiatry, physiotherapy, dental services and a management and admin function
Hours 3 x 12.5 hour shifts, days, nights & weekends
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £38,115 per annum - depending on experience.

As a Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

  • Undertake medication rounds and dispense controlled medication

  • Deliver and lead clinics, undertake examinations and tests to your patient group

  • Respond to emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency

  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions How will we support you?

  • NMC registered nurse - Adult

  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development

  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working

  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach

  • Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
