Pricing & System Analyst

The role will focus on managing key operational activities in Cargo Revenue Accounting "(CRA"), in particular the Cargo pricing and customer query management and resolution process. You will be the CRA lead on business led pricing projects, support process improvements, and ensure robust controls are applied to relevant revenue processes.

You will be responsible for the proactive provision of comprehensive information and recommendations relating to the financial and operational performance of the business that will engage line management and enable them to make decisions and take actions that make a positive difference to IAG Cargo. Other key activities will be.

  • Work closely alongside other CRA managers to provide a unified and common leadership approach to CRA performance and strategy.

  • Proactively embrace a continuous improvement ethic - identify opportunities for process improvements / re-engineering and support or manage the implementation of any changes.

  • Build and improve relationships with key internal and external CRA customers including Cargo, IAG, Finance, IATA, CASS, Freight Agents etc.

  • Assists the design and provision of regular reports and analysis of key operational performance metrics, identifying problem areas and implementing plans to resolve issues.

  • Ensures all relevant balance sheet accounts are correctly reconciled and cleared on a regular basis by Global Business Support (GBS) team.

  • Work within and promote the internal audit controls environment: proactively identify CRA control weaknesses, implement control mechanisms, monitor, review and report against Self Audit Programme and relevant statutory requirements. Ensure the efficient and effective implementation of appropriate actions and recommendations.

  • Support development of Business Continuity processes & ensure they are in place and tested.

  • Strong team player with ability to work cross-functionally and promote good team working and cooperation.

  • Good oral and written communication skills - able to articulate and document thoughts clearly and to present with confidence and credibility to a variety of audiences including senior management.

  • Takes responsibility for managing and prioritising own work with the resilience to work under pressure and deliver results to deadlines.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills including ability to manipulate, analyse and interpret financial and business data from multiple sources.

  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to internal and external stakeholder


  • Your experience:
  • Provision of excellent customer service including Cargo customer and billing queries

  • Experience of working with air waybill information and billing processes

  • Good knowledge of IAG Cargo's commercial activities and business information needs

  • Good knowledge of IATA Revenue Accounting Manual rules relating to Cargo revenue processes

  • Ability to interpret complex specialist pricing rules and apply them appropriately to AWBs for billing

  • Ability to investigate and scrutinise customer claims via detailed audit of Cargo records.

  • Knowledge of Cargo Revenue systems (RAPID, BA80, SalesForce, CASS link, CNS, AVCD etc.) and key corporate systems (GL(SAP), Excel, Business Objects, Word, PowerPoint etc.) would be advantageous
