Full Job Description

The Press & PR Manager at 199 Clinic will be instrumental in devising and leading a dynamic public relations strategy to elevate the clinic's brand and communicate its commitment to enhancing patient health through Performance and Longevity programs. This role requires an individual with a robust background in private healthcare public relations, excellent communication skills, and a track record of delivering impactful media coverage and public relations campaigns., 1. Strategic Communications and Media Management

  • Devise and execute press campaigns to communicate 199 Clinic's objectives and innovations to a broad audience through print, broadcast, online, and social media.

  • Develop strategies to deliver the clinic's key messages effectively across all media platforms.

  • Craft clear and compelling PR materials, including press releases, briefing documents, and responses to media inquiries.

  • Oversee the clinic's media library and ensure its distribution to appropriate press contacts.


  • 2. Event Management
  • Lead the planning and execution of media and PR events, including press launches and photo calls.

  • Coordinate logistics and activities for broadcast media coverage.

  • Secure the participation of key healthcare commentators and ensure successful event turnout.

  • Manage the full lifecycle of events from conception to completion, including post-event analysis.


  • 3. Relationships and Reputation Management
  • Establish and maintain relationships with a wide network of media contacts in the healthcare sector.

  • Coordinate with the Patient Engagement team to manage 199 Clinic's reputation across digital channels.

  • Act as a liaison between the clinic and the media, shaping public perception and managing coverage.


  • 4. Monitoring and Industry Engagement
  • Stay informed about media trends and healthcare developments to identify public relations opportunities or potential issues.

  • Highlight and promote 199 Clinic's initiatives, services, and partnerships, creating opportunities for media attention.

    Significant experience in managing media relations in a dynamic press office or consultancy, preferably in the healthcare sector.

  • A proven history of actively pitching stories and securing significant media attention.

  • Comfortable interacting with the media, both over the phone and in person, and communicating with various internal and external entities.

  • Creative and resourceful, adept at identifying unique angles and stories.

  • Skilled in organizing events, including media launches.

  • Dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion at every organizational level, with the ability to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds.


  • DESIRABLE
  • Highly organized and self-directed, capable of juggling several tasks and deadlines.

  • Experienced in creating and compiling background materials, including press releases, statements, and briefings.

  • Proficient in IT, with competencies in database management, online communication, document processing, and digital media archiving.

  • Knowledgeable in media monitoring and the use of related services.

  • Accustomed to interacting with various organizations, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Keen on training, mentoring, and supporting emerging talent within the healthcare communication field., Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years' experience in PR, preferably within the Healthcare field

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Strong verbal, written, and organisational skills, Public relations: 10 years (required)
