Full Job Description

Understand the Trust's key priorities, values and objectives and implement these within the Fetal Medicine and Pre Term birth services.
· Work as part of a multi disciplinary team.
· Take responsibility for co-ordination of consultant-led lists, ensuring that appropriate information is attached to each patient and assist the consultant in invasive procedures.
· Support women with highly specialist information and counselling when fetal abnormality/short cervix is suspected/diagnosed.
· Ensure that antenatal care, referrals, plans of care are completed and sent to the necessary location.
· Be involved in counselling, specialist information and provide continuing support for women considering or undergoing termination of pregnancy for abnormality.
· You will work closely with the antenatal screening service and be able to facilitate their care appropriately within the Fetal Medicine Department.
· Responsible for sharing information of normal and abnormal results to women and their local trusts following an invasive procedure.
· Triage referrals and support administration staff in allocating women on to the appropriate lists and ensure that these women are aware of their appointments.
· Ensure that all women attending our service have appropriate follow-up care in place at their local unit or within Fetal Medicine Department/Pre Term Birth service.

An exciting opportunity and rare opportunity has arisen for motivated and enthusiastic midwife to join our team of experienced, highly skilled Midwives within our Pre Term Birth Service and Fetal Medicine Department. We pride ourselves on the provision of seamless maternal care and wellbeing for all women regardless of the level of medical risk, our midwives strive to provide holistic care and pride ourselves on expertise, knowledge and the delivery of evidence based, women centered enhanced midwifery care. As an outpatient midwife and excellent understanding of all aspects of midwifery care is vital with a specific interest in antenatal care.
