Full Job Description

To undertake the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians (Integrated Apprenticeship). To complete virtual guided learning provided by Bradford College as well as workplace competency-based training.
Work on a rotational basis, gaining competencies and experience as defined by the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians (Integrated Apprenticeship). A practice/clinical supervisor will be allocated for each rotation and overall the education supervisor will manage the training programme.

Working for our organisation
Working on rotation through all sections of the Pharmacy, Pre-registration Pharmacy Technicians (PTPTs) are integrated into service teams enabling them to apply their developing skills and knowledge to multiple areas of work based practice whilst providing a innovative and professional pharmacy service.
Team members openly share their own learning experiences and are supportive whilst supervising and mentoring PTPTs to encourage a positive learning experience.

To undertake the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians (Integrated Apprenticeship) and a range of specific technical duties under the supervision of a qualified member of staff including dispensing, procurement, distribution, medicines optimisation and aseptic services.
Competence will be assessed through the completion of a portfolio of evidence and end point assessment; knowledge will be assessed through completion of marked assignments.
It is a contractual requirement that the post holder completes all of the educational activities within the period of the contract - failure to do so could lead to termination of the contract by Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a training post with the following salary:
1st year - bottom of band 3 £22,816 per annum
2nd year - top of band 3 £24,336 per annum
Upon qualification band 4 £25,147 - £27,596 per annum
