Full Job Description

  • Assisting our pre-press operators in dealing with customer requirements.

  • Processing customer artwork in PDF format.

  • The design and maintenance of workflows, both automated and manual, to speed the passage of work from order to the making of printing plates (the next stage of the production process).

  • You will also gain experience in direct dealings with clients regarding specifying and servicing their production requirements.


    • The training you will be getting

    Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the qualification obtained will be a L2 Print Operative Apprenticeship standard (pre-press pathway).

    The apprentice will be given sufficient time to undertake their "off-the-job" requirement of the apprenticeship during their working hours.

    Throughout your time as an apprentice, you will be supported by both The Manson Group and the BPIF. You will be assigned a training coordinator to ensure that you have the best training available. Training requirements will be discussed at the point of employment to suit your individual needs and business needs. Most training and studying will be a combination of site-based and remote delivery.

    Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Number skills, Team working, Initiative, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4/C or equivalent) Essential
    GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4/C or equivalent) Essential

    A print producer of publications for B2B and consumer markets based in Hertfordshire.

    You could reduce your training time, or finish your apprenticeship faster, if you have relevant prior learning or experience. This could be relevant:
