Full Job Description
The Pre-Prep Teaching Assistant is an exciting role which offers to opportunity to assist in the education, social and moral development of pupils.
The successful candidate will:
- Assist in setting up and preparing activities, including planning and resource management as necessary.
- Teach individual pupils or groups of children as directed by the teacher.
- Assist in the compilation of assessments, records and reports.
- Cover classes using work planned by teachers.
- Assist with IT in the classroom.
- Assist with display work and general administrative duties as required by the teacher for the smooth running of the class.
- Assist on educational visits.
- Break/Play time supervision as requested.
- Lunchtime supervision in the dining room and/or outside.
- Undertake Professional Development in line with the School Development Plan and personal requirements.
- Follow the whole school Health and Safety policy, Child protection policy and Behaviour Management policy.
- Attend planning and staff meetings when necessary. These may be outside school hours.
- To undertake other duties from time to time as the Head requires.
Essential - Minimum Grade C/4 in GCSE Maths and English
- Qualified to Level 3 in Early Years or similar
- Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
- Flexible, team-working disposition
- Genuine love of children
- Willingness to support the Christian ethos of the school
Desirable - In date with Safeguarding training
- In date with Emergency First Aid training
