Full Job Description

You will work under the direction of the BSEER PhD Programmes Manager and in conjunction with the Departmental Deputy Director of Education (PGR) and Institute Departmental Graduate Tutors (Research) (DGRTI) and closely with key academic staff throughout BSEER including Institute Doctoral Programme Tutors, PhD supervisors and the managers of BSEER's Centres for Doctoral Training. You will provide specialist administration to designated postgraduate research (PGR) degree programmes, ensuring effective procedures are adopted and documented for dealing with all aspects of the administration. You will deliver effective administrative support for all matters relating to the education activities of postgraduate research students from enquiry and admissions through the duration of their PhD to completion and graduation. As the post holder, you will support a wide range of processes including enquiries and admissions, organising examinations, payment of fees and stipends, engagement monitoring and

maintaining comprehensive student records for approximately 130 PhD students. You will assist in achieving a high quality and timely service to current and prospective students and staff related to the designated PGR programmes. This post is available on a permanent basis.
