Full Job Description

SEROCU investigations conduct proactive covert activity in pursuit of the disruption of Organised Crime Groups operating within the South East - primarily the investigation of serious and complex organised and cross-border crime.

As part of the SEROCU investigative team, you will support both covert and overt operational deployments and investigate SOC through the use of intelligence, reactive and proactive policing tactics, including search and arrest operations.

You will also assist in progressing our investigations in respect of offenders arrested by SE ROCU and can expect to be used in supporting roles to the OIC of the investigation.

You will also deploy as a surveillance operative on behalf of SEROCU and will be specialist surveillance support to investigations, including being 'on-call' for regional surveillance capability.

Whilst a background in covert investigations and practical experience undertaking covert and overt investigations is desirable, it is certainly not essential as all relevant training will be conducted once in post.

Please note that this role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK. Therefore, the successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence., If you wish to apply you need to have support from your Head of Command/Department.
