Full Job Description

  • The primary role is responsibility for all CAPEX investment for building 53 here on the Andover site.

  • This includes all aspects from project scope/costing/resources and timings, approval (both stakeholder and financial), implementation/followup/completion and then finally project budget spending/tracking and closing on EQMS (Electronic Quality Management System).

  • To define the yearly CAPEX budget and 3 yearly road map ensuring we are compliant to the appropriate regulations i.e. Health and Safety at work act and ISO9001 etc.

  • To liaise and report into the corporate Engineering team on a monthly basis regarding project status/followup and best practise sharing.

  • Support the team with CAPEX projects that close out audit findings and CAPA as needed.

  • Lead internal/external visits/audits of the site with respect to CAPEX projects.

  • Support (or possibly become the pillar leader) for our Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) pillars for Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Preventative Maintenance (PM).

  • Promote and sponsor TPM operational excellence driving the cultural change necessary here on site from an Engineering perspective.

  • As a member of the SC leadership team support the definition of the master plan (short/medium/long term priorities) and any key decisions that relate to the continuity and development of the Andover SC team/building.

  • With all SC managers, participate fully in the management of the building, including all actions within and outside of the individual's basic remit which impact on the reputation, integrity, performance and profitability of the SC building/team.

  • Secondly, to support the Production Engineering team with their activities here on site.

  • That ranges from updating site layouts/P&ID's (on autocad or equivalent), to process improvement activities i.e. process efficiency or build/work instruction modifications.

  • Team queries (customer service, validation, technical services etc) on part availability, updates or obsolescence and the subsequent management of in the PE team.

  • Finally, any support needed to the NPI (New Production Implementation) of new materials and equipment. This would include BOM (Bill Of Material) and routing updates on SAP (System Applications and Products in Data Processing).

    Degree in Engineering discipline.

  • At least 5 years' experience in production, process, industrial engineering function leading CAPEX projects.

  • Good understanding of Engineering practises and solutions to problems.

  • Knowledge of TPM principles and methodology.

  • Able to work under his/her own initiative.

  • Excellent organizational, communication and man management skills.

  • High standard of numeracy and literacy.

  • Ability & willingness to be flexible with working hours at short notice.

  • Communicating and presenting data effectively.

  • Good knowledge of health and safety at work act, ISO9001 regulations (experience with GMP would be ideal).

  • Leadership, strength of proposal and conviction.

  • Capable to innovate and to challenge the status quo.

  • Proficient with (MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, EQMS and AutoCAD).
