Location: Egham

Salary: A£20,622 per annum (2023-24 stipend rate)

The Role

Join the London Low Temperature Laboratory in pioneering research within Quantum Science and Technologies through the prestigious 4-year PhD studentships. You will have the opportunity to work with unique facilities such as:

  • Ultra-Low Temperature Facility : Unique facility worldwide, enabling groundbreaking research in quantum science and technology at extremely low temperatures.

  • SuperFab Facility : A leading superconducting quantum circuit foundry, known nationally for its innovative contributions to quantum technologies.


  • These projects aim to lead advancements in technology and theoretical understanding, impacting fields such as quantum computing, sensing technologies, and fundamental physics.

    Skills & Experience

    They seek motivated candidates with an excellent academic background in Physics, Engineering, or related fields, preferably at the MSc level or equivalent. Ideal candidates will possess:
