Full Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for the right person to undertake a Customer Service Apprenticeship with a difference at Orchard 2000 Pharmacy. Working and training in a busy pharmacy you will gain the skills and experience required as a starting point for a career as a dispenser. On successful completion of the apprenticeship the employer would be willing to provide the professional qualifications needed to become a dispenser to the right candidate.

Duties will include:

  • Serving customers

  • Developing product knowledge

  • Providing excellent levels of customer service

  • Dealing with customer enquiries in a sensitive manner

  • Dealing with difficult customers

  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times

  • Taking cash payments

  • Taking card payments

  • Taking deliveries

  • Understudy pharmacy / healthcare assistants in customer service

  • Delivering customer service over the telephone

  • Solving problems for customers that come into the pharmacy

  • Maintaining stock levels

  • Stock rotation and merchandising

  • Ordering products

  • Using internal IT system and procedures

    Administrative skills, Analytical skills, Attention to detail, Communication skills, Customer care skills, Initiative, Logical, Non judgemental, Number skills, Organisation skills, Patience, Team working, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade C/4 or above) Desired

  • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade C/4 or above) Desired

    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
    Minimum Wage Rates
  • Working week

  • Working a minimum of 30 hours per week. The working times will fall within 9.00am - 6.00pm. We can be flexible on the actual times, shifts to be confirmed., You could reduce your training time, or finish your apprenticeship faster, if you have relevant prior learning or experience.
