Full Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Claims Handler to join our team, working between our Peterborough office and home (hybrid working available following the completion of your induction). You will be expected to work full time in our Peterborough office for the first 6 months training.

Your role

You will be part of our Pet Claims team, supporting our customers through the process of making a Pet insurance claim. We treat our customers as people, not numbers, and you will be at the forefront of this, offering any help, support, and guidance they need.

We provide necessary training, so you have all the tools at your disposal. As part of your role, you will be working on shift patterns with some evening and weekend work. The role will include initial training and support during which we will need you to be on site full time to ensure you are happy, confident, and performing in the role (minimum of 6 months).

Communication skills are crucial as is having a genuine desire to help our customers. The ability to listen and show empathy is key, you won't be happy unless the customer leaves the call feeling like they've been heard.

Your attitude and approach to customers is more important than your experience. However, a background providing great customer service, showing an ability to build relationships and operate with the customer in mind will put you in a great position to be successful with RSA.
