Full Job Description

GLL is looking for a three experienced, Payroll and Pensions Officer to join our Employee Services Team based in Woolwich, South East London. If you have the skills and ambition to join us as an Officer, there's never been a more exciting time to join us.

As Payroll and Pensions Officer you will be joining our Employee Services Team and you will be part of our Head Office support services as well as being within the People (HR) function, which manages a range of important staff services such as payroll, benefits and pensions.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for advising on GLL policies, procedures, contractual terms and conditions (GLL and Non GLL) including rates of pay and employee benefits

  • To manage and maintain all employee data, computerised or manual

  • Accurate data input relating to employee lifecycle where necessary

  • Action all monthly pension data submissions, including leavers forms on the allocated schemes

  • Compliance of NMW, RLW regulations

  • Check all monthly pension data submissions and leaver forms on the allocated schemes

  • Action employee, manager and provider queries and ensure response times are adhered to

  • Carry out manual calculations that are required as part of your role, such as overtime payments, gross to net, advance payments, statutory payments, starter and leaver payments

  • Monitors relevant mailboxes, answering queries and escalating complex queries

  • Ensure compliance with current statutory regulations; keep up to date with legislative changes. such as statutory benefits payments, tax, national insurance National Minimum wage, working time directive, right to work, GDPR

  • Strong knowledge of UK Payroll Regulation's

  • Strong knowledge of UK pension processes and legislation

  • Previous experience working in payroll and/or pension's officer role

  • Meticulous attention to detail/organisational skills

  • Excellent IT/Microsoft Office Skills and administration skills

  • Ability to manage own workload and achieve deadlines

  • Excellent literacy and Numeracy skills

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Strong knowledge of GDPR

    A salary of up to £36,562 pa dependant on experience
