Full Job Description

Experienced Pastry Chef required for a busy, 20 room, coaching inn style hotel with 2 rosette restaurant in a village location in the Cotswolds. The position is 5 days per week, accommodation is available and the salary package is £43,200 including bonus and tronc.

The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for the pastry section, a role that encompasses restaurant service, functions (mainly weddings), room service, bar menu and afternoon tea. You will answer directly to the head chef and be supported by junior team members that you will be expected to train and develop in order to cover the section in your absence.

The basic salary for this role is £38,000 per annum, rising to £39,000 per annum upon completion of your first three months. Tronc of £3000+ per annum, is paid monthly; an achievable bonus scheme is also paid monthly and equates to £1200 per annum if on target (£100/month).

Situated in a picturesque Cotswold village with both solid footfall and destination dinners, the restaurant regularly does 300 plus covers per day and has a very good local reputation. The business has private ownership, an excellent existing team in place and a friendly, professional working environment all round.
