Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to join us as a Parts Supervisor at Mercedes-Benz of Newbury. Overseeing the Parts Team, the Parts Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the site has the right parts mix and inventory level to meet demand for servicing, repairs and sales to third parties. By maintaining an efficient parts operation, the Parts Supervisor makes an important contribution to productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction. The Parts Supervisor and his team are responsible for receipt of all parts orders and ensuring that they are accurately interpreted and promptly picked and despatched for retail, trade and internal / workshop customers.,

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs.

  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular Stock audits, and reconcile discrepancies.

  • Provide accurate documentation of all incoming and outgoing parts transactions.

  • All Parts verification completed daily

  • Ensure vehicle health checks are completed accurately to maintain the workshop efficiency.

  • Advise the Aftersales Manager of any backorder issues, using the Mercedes parts escalation process to provide updates.

  • Supervise a team of parts staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

  • Interact with customers to understand their parts requirements and provide assistance in locating and selecting the right parts.

  • Ensure that all customer complaints are dealt with both speedily and effectively, referring any unresolved problems to the After Sales Manager.

  • Strive to exceed customer expectations both internal and external by delivering exceptional service at all times

    Proven experience in automotive parts management, with a track record of achieving KPI targets

  • Knowledge of Mercedes Benz parts and systems.

  • Experience using Kerridge.

  • Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated experience in supervising and motivating teams.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.


  • Applicants will be expected to be immaculately attired as is befitting the Mercedes brand and must hold a full Driving Licence.

    Competitive salary dependent on experience, The hours of work: Monday to Friday 08.00- 18.00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
    Saturday 08.00 - 13.00 on a rota basis as will be required, paid as extra hours.
