Full Job Description

YRH Finance Team are excited to offer a permanent, Part-Time Finance Manager job opportunity, within our central team in Farnborough. This will be a busy, varied Finance Manager role, ensuring that our finances are properly recorded, managed and reported.

About the role

Working for 18.75 hours over approx. 3 to 4 days weekly. School hours would be ideal.

YRH understand the importance of a good work-life balance and operate a hybrid working model. Our teams attend the office in Farnborough 1 day a week, however you should have some flexibility around this to attend site when required for business meetings or other business commitments.

On a day-to-day basis your duties will include:

  • Sales Ledger, billing, direct debit collection, client set up.

  • Credit Control

  • Purchase Ledger and payment runs, recharges, supplier set up.

  • Checking and coding expenses, company credit card

  • Bank postings and reconciliations.

  • Payroll experience preferred

  • Calculate and pay sales commissions.

  • Price increase letters to clients and principals

  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns


  • Your role will also include additional planning and reporting such as:
  • Updating actuals in weekly cashflow forecasts

  • Monthly billing reports, margin reports

  • Some monthly journals including some accruals

  • Supplier rebate calculations

    You must live close to and able to easily commute to Farnborough (30-40 mins max)

  • You will be at least part-qualified (AAT/IAB/ICB) OR have at least 5 years of recent, relevant, experience.

  • Proficiency in the above duties

  • Highly computer literate with advanced Excel skills, MS 365

  • Able to use your initiative with a can-do attitude and a sense of urgency.

  • Proficiency in Xero required.

  • Solid understanding of double entry bookkeeping.

  • Experience of working within a SME business previously.
