Full Job Description

The Appointed Paragon Team Leader will:

  • Focus on the operational management, development and delivery of Paragon.

  • Follow Paragon and YOU Processes, policies and procedures.

  • Work with the Paragon Manager to review agreed triage processes and ensure any allocation is risk led and that clients referred are offered the safest, most appropriate and empowering service.

  • Work with the Paragon Manager to ensure 24/7 access to the service through targeted staff and volunteer deployment and an on-call service.

  • Lead on the effective recruitment and induction of staff and volunteers in the areas they are responsible for, working with others to support recruitment across the whole team.

  • Work with Paragon Manager to ensure that the information captured addresses all KPI's and other contractual and service requirements.

  • As directed by the Paragon Manager, they will carry out internal management reviews, write reports and attend external multi-agency meetings such as MAEAC, DHR's and other safeguarding meetings.

  • To be proactive in identifying and ensuring support for people experiencing abuse in marginalized communities, by being involved in meetings, forums and team meetings, promoting the service and the work we do.

  • Will lead on developing safe spaces in our communities where we can meet people to talk about their experiences, support them to build resilient networks and building our communities to become self-supportive., The Paragon Team Leader will work with the Paragon Manager to support delivery of all operational aspects of Paragon, focusing on supporting the team and day to day delivery of commissioned and grant funded work. You will ensure that all work is carried out within contractual requirements and this involves multi-agency working, engaging with local partners and support the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) as the front door of Paragon. You will work effectively with the Paragon Manager to lead on allocated working priorities which may include accommodation and community-based teams, both grant funded and contracted. This will include , for example 25/7 access to support, the intake of countrywide enquiries and allocation of referrals, outreach and accommodation support, working with individuals and children. You will provide supervision, case management, case audits and database oversight and will deputise for the Manager in their absence., If this sounds like your ideal role, we're keen to hear from you as soon as possible.     The successful Paragon Team Leader will have:

  • Management or Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent to Diploma / Degree / NVQ 5 or equivalent work level experience.

  • Experience of supporting women, men and children who have been subject to domestic violence and abuse and/or sexual violence and abuse/stalking.

  • Experience of undertaking strengths, needs & risk assessments including DASH RIC.

  • Experience of effective multi-agency and partnership working (e.g. MARAC) and managing complex and demanding service functions.

  • Experience of managing, supporting, supervising, motivating and developing teams and individuals.

  • The ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends when required and be part of a 24/7 on-call service.

  • The ability to work across identified contract area and travel for training and meeting purposes.

  • Car driver with use of car for work purposes., You will be experienced, skilled and enthusiastic.

  • You will be used to working in a fast-paced environment.

  • You will be passionate about working with victims/survivors of domestic abuse

  • Experience of Experience of managing, supporting, supervising, motivating and developing teams and individuals

  • Experience of person-centred service delivery and enabling client involvement.

  • Developing positive working relationships with the local community and support agencies to create a network of support for your clients will be central to the work you do.

  • Do you have a Management or Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent?

  • Do you have at least 1 year experience of working with Microsoft Office and Case Management systems?

  • Do you have at least 1 years experience of working with individuals who have been subjected to domestic abuse and/or sexual violence and abuse/stalking
