Full Job Description

You will be responsible for;

  • The primary responsibility is to make pallets safely, efficiently and to the right quality.

  • Ensure stocks of Pallet Making raw materials are maintained to meet customer specifications.

  • Ensuring the safety and efficiency of the production process and communicating effectively with colleagues to ensure that product is processed safely, efficiently accurately and to the right quality to deliver performance targets.

  • Comprehensive recording of all necessary information and relevant documentation using company computer systems E.g. Tropos, computerised systems, including data entry,

  • Operate and monitor machinery to ensure it is running at maximum capacity, in a safe and efficient manner whilst optimising throughput

  • Performing routine maintenance and reporting any major breakdowns to relevant teams. Provide assistance with maintenance activities on plant and machinery. Perform basic maintenance tasks,

  • Safety and Environment knowledge and skills such as locking off, manual handling, relevant woodworking regulations and waste management

    Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of machinery and equipment operation.

  • Ability to work with others, comfortable in taking and giving direction with peers where necessary to achieve operational goals

  • Safety and Environment knowledge and skills such as locking off, manual handling Safe Systems of Work and waste/broke management, COSHH

  • Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck and other motorised transport license would be beneficial
