Full Job Description
Final Inspection of products
- Preparing and packing products for despatch/collection
- Maintaining a presence for 3rd party drivers and to ensure that products are collected/loaded effectively
- Unloading/unpacking deliveries
- Supporting the Goods In and Despatch function as required
- Supporting the Assembly function as required
- Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace
- Uphold Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality policies
- Has a flexible approach to work and willing to support colleagues
Experience in a similar (manufacturing or engineering) environment preferably within a supporting packing/despatch/warehouse role (specific training will be provided)
- Full UK Driving licence - successful job holder must be aged 25+ for insurance reasons
- Licensed user of overhead cranes, fork lift trucks and reach truck/side loader
- Experience using handle and cutting tools, ie machine saw (wood), handle & pillar drill
- Excellent, concise attention to detail with a strong work ethic and 'will do' attitude
- Follows management directions to achieve results
- Excellent planning, organisation & communication skills
- Enthusiasm and desire to learn
- PC literate/Microsoft
Colson X-Cel are pleased to release the following new opportunity to join the valued team based at the AMP (Advanced Manufacturing Park), close to M1 J33 (S60 5FS).
A warehouse-based position whereby the successful candidate will effectively pack Colson's machined products - valves - for a variety of industries which are manufactured and assembled inhouse then shipped worldwide. You will take ownership of the packing function which will also include moving, preparing and running a final check on all outgoing products to ensure they leave us with the required highest quality standards.
