Full Job Description

The Inspection and packaging Team Lead position leads the team of production technicians in all inspection and packaging operations at the FSS-Boston Compounding Center. The inspection and packaging Team lead serves as the direct assistant to the production Management team. This includes, but is not limited to, monitoring production issues to the management team.,

  • Appropriately allocate manpower resources to ensure the proper and timely execution of both scheduled and unscheduled production needs on a daily basis.

  • Lead the daily inspection and packaging operation.

  • Assign production technicians as needed to accomplish tasks outside of the inspection and packaging room. Helps to identify possible improvements in physical or system processes.

  • Coordinate special projects on assigned shift.

  • Communicate directives and initiatives from management to production technicians on assigned shift.

  • Monitor and improve workflow, to include process change development and implementation, as well as monitor and observe all inspection and packaging functions using the approved operating procedures and batch records.

  • Actively participate in the evaluation of staff in the performance of all work-related activities; participate in the review process for all assigned shift production technicians.

  • Able to function as a project leader for special production initiatives.

    7 years of experience working in a regulated environment with a minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in a leadership position (i.e., Shift of Line Leader, Group Leader, etc) or demonstrated leadership abilities.

  • Good working knowledge of all functional areas of the inspection and packaging area.

  • Solid math and effective problem-solving skills with demonstrated use of sound judgement.

  • Good communication and organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and lead a team.
