Full Job Description

Anglian Water is an innovative utility company caring for social and environmental prosperity of our region. As Water Recycling Optimisation team, we look out for one another, and we care about doing the right thing for the environment. We know our Water Recycling processes and assets and we pride ourselves on supporting our operational colleagues by providing advice as well as asset and process solutions.

In more tangible terms, we replace old technology with new and we champion changes to how we operate individual assets and treatment processes. We work across all Water Recycling. We thus install new types of air blowers at Water Recycling Centres (WRCs), pumps and control systems (variable speed drives (VSDs) and software logic for our computer control systems (PLCs)). We also install new sludge thickening plants or help recommission units that had not been operated before. We do both small and more complex projects, which we deliver together with Optimisation Solutions Delivery team and our third-party partners.

We're growing our team and seeking a curious person who shares our passion for improvement and environment. If you thrive on taking initiative, prioritising, building relationships and communicating with audiences at various levels of the organisation, enjoy working in a small team, and find yourself at your best while supporting, coordinating, and overseeing the team of experts, we want to hear from you.,

  • Demonstrable experience of integrating capital schemes into operational sites.

  • Health and Safety management ideally qualified to IOSH level

  • Full UK driving licence, Regular (2-3 days a week) operational site visits to meet and support optimisation engineers (this will require an active presence on AW sites across the whole region).

  • Relationship building and communication with Water Recycling stakeholders to ensure understanding and alignment of optimisation programme priorities.

  • Drive stakeholder engagement and coordinate project delivery, ensuring alignment with timelines and budgets as well as effective handover and benefits realisation.

  • Work with team of data analysts on creating effective tools for efficiency opportunity identification and project benefits monitoring and realisation.

  • Champion and embed effective continuous improvement process for our Tactical Optimisation and Solution Delivery teams.

  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports or case studies on optimisation initiatives, including progress updates and key performance metrics.

  • Auditing of framework third party contractors that we work with.
