About the Opportunity:

Due to growth in the current portfolio within National Operations of Enterprise Asset Solutions, we have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to lead a multi disciplined engineering team here at the Humber Facility across a number of existing and new Projects around the country. The role allows you to join our client facing team managing the operational delivery of numerous schemes from their conceptual phase into detailed design, manufacture, and implementation onto site. Being part of that team offers a unique opportunity to drive change and innovation in engineering, safety and delivery solutions supporting value engineering.

The successful candidate will become part of a respected and ambitious team working from our Humber Facility, within EAS, to support the growth and sustainability of the performance unit moving forward. Jacobs EAS are offering a truly fantastic opportunity which will allow the successful individuals to be involved across multiple client sectors around the UK supporting this critical principal engineering role.

The role will consist of working alongside our Senior Management team both locally and nationally to develop relationships across diverse client sectors whilst ensuring operational compliance on various project schemes in accordance with British Standards and Client specifications. Reporting directly to the Operations Director at the Humber Facility.

Managing a team of Project Manager, Designers and Engineers along with graduates to ensure deliverables are achieved efficiently and effectively, safely and to the quality expected from a professional organisation. Our team of multi-disciplinary experts are seeking a driven professional who will utilise their engineering expertise to innovate design and engineering across various diverse projects in the UK.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering or Project Management;

  • Minimum 15 years' experience related to an engineering or management role;

  • Chartered or working towards a registered body;

  • IOSH or NEBOSH accredited;

  • Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with people at all levels of an organization;

  • Experience of leading Multi disciplined Management and Engineering teams;

  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management;

  • UK Citizenship.

  • Responsible and accountable for project services to clients for effective compliance, safety, quality and cost levels to assure profitability ratios;

  • Management and leadership of Operational teams to interpret and meet client needs and deliverables;

  • Develop relationships and effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders;

  • Capability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously;

  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams across various UK office locations;

  • Ability to work on own initiative;

  • Mentor Graduate Engineers;

  • Participate in developing the growth of the team and wider Jacobs's growth strategies.
