Operations Manager

We are currently looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day to day running of our busy Distribution Centre in Leeds., The Position: As Operations Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of running the Leeds Distribution Centre reporting to the Regional Operations Support Manager. Your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring accurate completion of next day multi temp deliveries


• Warehouse management and stock control


• Transport planning and vehicle management for the sites HGV fleet


• Responsibility for Health and Safety on the Distribution Centre


• Recruitment to ensure the strongest possible distribution team and the day to day management of the Leeds Distribution team


• Continuous review and the making of recommendations to the senior management team to ensure the optimum and efficient operation of the site


• Liaison with our dedicated sales teams to ensure sales and service opportunities are maximised


• Achieving the KPI's set by the business
  
  Experience within an operations environment that demonstrates the capability to build, lead, manage and motivate a team


• Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of transport functions and warehousing, preferably in a dual temperature foodservice environment


• Results orientated, willing to take ownership for setting and achieving high standards and targets


• Up to date knowledge of health and safety regulations within a transport environment


• Strong communication skills both written and verbal at all levels
