Central to achieving this is our Operations Assistant, who plays a pivotal role in the smooth running of our coffee shops and their high standard of maintenance.

This is a multifaceted position which entails:

· Provide operational support to ensure the smooth running of two Coffee outlets in Hereford on a daily basis.

· Ensure the safe transportation, handling, and security of company equipment and stock.

· Maintain high standards of presentation and service at the Coffee Cart Company.

· Perform equipment maintenance and handle small repairs as needed.

· Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

This role is ideally suited to an individual with a hands-on approach and a practical mindset, who thrives on variety and is comfortable working both outdoors and in a warehouse, depending on the task at hand. You'll need to be self-motivated, responsible, and possess excellent timekeeping skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.

Given the nature of the role, lifting stock, furniture, and equipment is essential. Therefore, a good level of fitness is advisable, and being comfortable with manual handling is a must. You'll be required to operate in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, where meticulous attention to detail and care are paramount.

A practical "hands-on" approach, coupled with a "can-do" attitude, will be key to thriving in this role. Your ability to work in a methodical and organised manner, while adhering to rules and procedures, will ensure smooth operations and contribute to the overall success and smooth running of the daily operations.

Additionally, presenting yourself in a professional and well-groomed manner is expected, reflecting our commitment to excellence and professionalism in all aspects of our work.

Main duties:

Hereford Logistical Support:

· Pick and deliver company stock and equipment to outlets following company procedures.

· Assist the Operations Manager with daily operational requirements at the depot and Coffee Shops.

· Load/unload stock, furniture, and equipment on/off company vehicles.

Warehouse Support:

  • Receive and book in deliveries

  • Maintaining an efficient and clean workplace


  • Events Logistical Support:

    The Operations Assistant is a pivotal role in the setup of our temporary pop-up Coffee Shops at several events throughout the year. These events are crucial opportunities for us to connect with customers and showcase our offerings in vibrant settings.

    Role at Events include:
  • Set up and dismantle coffee bar equipment at events following company operational systems and procedures.

  • Handle all operational activities during event trading days, including:

  • Picking and loading event support vehicles prior to an event.

  • Preparing trailers and support vehicles for forthcoming events.

  • Transporting staff, stock, and equipment to and from events.

  • Post-event breakdown and transportation from events.


  • Personal requirements:

    · Full clean driving licences with 3.5 tonne van experience (essential)

    · Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)

    · Comfortable with manual handling

    · Seasonal weekend availability
