Full Job Description

  • Responsible for the management of the overall operations of our London and South East region, ensuring that our projects are resourced adequately, completed on time and to budget.


  • To contribute to the attainment of the company's business objectives by:
  • Providing operational support and guidance to ensure that the company's financial commitments are met

  • Ensuring compliance with all HSE regulations

  • Developing all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the sound operational management and control of the company's business

  • The role will involve traditional Operation delivery responsibilities across a variety of painting and repair projects from various market sectors (Social housing, FM, Property Management, Commercial, Education, Health predominantly) ranging in value from £5k to £10m. With ownership of projects from contract award through to completion, the role will report directly to the Commercial Manager and will involve close working with the business' regional teams. The right candidate will be ambitious, self-motivated and have strong communication skills.


  • Main Responsibilities

    Objective

    1 -Operationally and commercially responsible for the successful delivery of the portfolio of all painting contracts in London/ Southy East. To identify efficiencies and cost savings within all contracts, for the benefit of the company and the client.

    2 - Ensuring we have sufficient and the right quality of labour to deliver an excellent service to our clients. Expectation that we have to recruit quality labour when required. Expectation of quality and consistency of workmanship from all trades, from appointment to completion.

    3 - Ensuring all health & safety documentation (RAMS/ Construction phase health & safety plans) are site specific and relevant and comply with HSE guidelines. Health and Safety standards on-site must be maintained to the highest level.

    4 - Cost management - ensure CVR's are reviewed, updated and accurate at least weekly. Maximise profit, minimise risk & protect commercial interests of the company.

    5 - Supply chain procurement - ensure best value supply is sourced on all contracts

    6 - Management of Contracts managers and sub-contractors to ensure they conform to our company policies and procedures. Be able to motivate team members to achieve predetermined goals and targets.

    7 - Working with the purchasing and support service team at head office to manage supply chains and cost effective purchasing of materials and plant to maximise our profitability with the right balance to ensure high quality delivery to the satisfaction of our clients.

    8 - Maintain and grow excellent working relationships with existing and future clients to ensure their needs are met in order to expand network of clients. Required to build positive and productive working relationships with our clients; delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations,

    9 - Executing programmes effectively to ensure we meet the demands of our contract timelines and revenue forecasting (forward work plan - FWP). On completion of contracts, to ensure that all invoices are raised in a timely manner

    10 - Assist with producing Forecast (forward work plan)

    11 - Ensuring our HR & QHSE online platform Atlas is maintained regularly with the correct information at all times. This information should be current and includes training records/ employee holidays/ right to work in UK documentation/ health & safety documentation/ employee records/ training records.

    12 - Networking with clients and industry professionals. This may involve spending time with clients in the evening or at weekends as is necessary.
