Full Job Description

The North/South CIMH Service Managers will provide operational leadership to the Mental Health PCNs. These are currently configured as 3 MH PCN teams in the North and 3 MH PCN teams in the South.
They will have continuing responsibility for the development and delivery of a consistent, high quality service, in conjunction with the Newham Associate Clinical Director (Community MH Services) and Newham Deputy Borough Director (ELFT), GP and Primary Care Network (PCN) colleagues and the multidisciplinary/ multiorganisational team.
The post holder will be required to provide clinical and operational supervision to senior staff within the Mental Health PCNs., CIMHS is an emergent service, integrating a range of existing offers, including ELFT's Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) and Assessment and Brief Treatment (ABT), with new provision funded via NHSE early implementer resource, including significant 3rd Sector provision, Peer Support and existing Social Care provision. As such, CIMHS managers will be responsible in the initial phases for completing the transition from old to new arrangements.
Another significant responsibility will be ensuring the ongoing co production of CIMH Teams with service users and other stakeholders in the geographical areas relevant to the MH PCN. This should happen according to the principles of the Community Mental Health Framework: place-based, whole-person, whole-population.
In addition, the post holder will also function as a clinical expert to the team and to partner agencies, exercising a high degree of personal and professional autonomy, making critical judgments and decisions to meet the expectations and demands of this expert role. They will also be responsible (along with other Operational Team Leads and support from senior managers) for ensuring this pathway works effectively with crisis services, holding a level of risk suitable to the developmental stage of the team.
The post-holder will also contribute to the development and management of suitable governance arrangements within this complex new multi-agency environment.
