Full Job Description

The Inbound and Outbound teams in fulfilment operations are responsible for receiving, picking, packing and sorting orders that are placed with THG using our Warehouse Management System. They are supported by Quality Control. The B2B team picks and dispatches bulk orders and shipments to other warehouses and Kitting team co-packs bundles and subscription boxes.,

  • Leading and being responsible for all aspects of their area of supervision.

  • Looking after the safety of all Personnel, Customers, Visitors and Contractors whilst on site. Ensuring all interactions are safe and effective.

  • Working with other internal departments and stakeholders to achieve agreed KPIs and standards, prioritising customer experience, improving stock integrity and meeting SLAs.

  • Aligning area-specific operational objectives with business needs, setting expectations for their work area to ensure goals are achieved to the highest standard, and breeding a continuous improvement culture.

  • Manage small to medium-sized teams effectively, nurturing growth and development of front-line staff and identifying potential management talent.

  • Making decisions regarding Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (SQDP), that will significantly impact their work area and department.

  • Manage basic Human Resources (HR) cases and deal with warehouse colleague issues.

  • Communicate with agency representatives and discuss their performances/efficiencies.

    English GCSE and Maths GCSE / equivalent international standards

  • Degree / Degree calibre preferred.


  • Training IOSH certification (preferred).


  • Formal management training.

  • Preferred Lean Six Sigma White Belt

  • Good understanding of H&S and HR processes and systems, e.g. Oracle, ADP, Workforce

  • Good Data Analysis, Communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Capable of making decisions under pressure, driving culture and delivering change through both people and the environment.

  • Capable of shouldering SM responsibilities in the absence of the Shift Manager


  • Ability to navigate Intranet, EQMS, Site / Local portals, and Microsoft forms.

  • Good Microsoft skills, and ability to understand, manipulate and present basic data sets.
