Full Job Description

You will be responsible for assisting in the smooth running of college procedures, including cashflow and administration of student exams., Are you able to:

  • Handle general administrative duties including dealing with telephone calls, visitors, emails, filing and post

  • Keep student and teacher records up-to-date manually and on the computer system

  • Ensure no students fall into arrears. Phone parents if necessary. Deal with former student arrears

  • Update student timetables and registers

  • Schedule meetings and take minutes

  • Photocopy, scan and print various documents for the Principal, staff and students

  • Arrange interviews, appointments and meetings - internal and external

  • Deal with the needs of students, parents and staff

  • Ensure that office and reception areas are kept tidy and presentable

  • Deal with exam boards and administration of exams

    Intelligent, enthusiastic, amiable, efficient, highly organised and possess strong communication skills and the ability to project the professional image of the College

  • Able to meet the needs of this role, where multi-tasking, meeting deadlines and thinking on your feet will be necessary.

  • Able to provide both clerical and administrative support to the Principal and staff, either as part of a team or individually

  • Involved with the implementation of office procedures, as well as having responsibility for specific tasks, Do you have at least an A-Level, (or equivalent), and good GCSE grades in Maths & English?


  • Having admin qualifications would be advantageous

    Skills and Experience Required

    Do you:
  • Possess good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to follow instructions carefully

  • Have at least 1 year experience as an office administrator

  • Have the ability to give strong attention to detail (especially in data entry), and have a methodical and logical working style

  • Have experience with general office equipment e.g. photocopiers

  • Have the ability to be adaptable to new skills and technology

  • Have some experience of Social Media

  • Some working knowledge of Urdu would be advantageous (due to clientele), A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
