Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to join a busy Engineering Service Provide based in Manchester, to provide office support to a team of Engineering Project Managers looking after several high value contracts across a variety of industries. The role is to ensure the safe storage and accurate recording of all documentation generated and received per contract, and to provide timely reports as required by customers on a monthly basis. In addition, there will be a required involvement in procurement, invoicing, team scheduling, telephone support and technical research. This exciting, fast paced role is office based, standard days, and has the potential for progression for the right candidate., · Populating Job files with project documentation

· Liaising with Customers & Staff on a daily basis providing progress updates

· Checking job packs for completeness prior to invoicing

· Check Work Order / Sales Orders are on target - (dates)

· Update Engineering KPIs, Reports and training records.

· Assist engineering leadership team in planning site engineering activities

· Convert Maintenance Requests to Work Orders

· Management and filing of Engineering documents

· Liaising with suppliers, contractors and plan work on site

· Working with purchase orders and invoices

· Supporting on the delivery of engineering projects

· Monitoring progress of subcontractor orders

· Updating the engineering system system with job details as required

· Support bookings and arrangements for contractors visiting the site

· Sending engineering updates and communications to the local teams

· You will be well organised, competent in maintaining filing systems, paper & electronic

· Experienced in MS Office such as Word and Excel.

· Excellent organizational skills & good time management

· Maths and English at Grade C GSCE level

· Good command of English both written & oral.

· Ability to meet and chase up people against deadlines

· Data inputting and reporting skills

· Highly efficient with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-moving environment

· Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

· Ability to read and interpret engineering technical drawings preferred

· Experience with ERP systems, Sage or other accounting software is a plus

· Accurate data entry skills with attention to detail,

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)


  • Experience:
  • Administrative experience: 3 year (preferential)

  • Engineering experience (5 years - essential)


  • Language:

    · English (essential),
  • GCSE or equivalent (required), Customer service: 3 years (required)

  • Administrative experience: 3 years (required)

  • Mechanical engineering: 5 years (required)
