Full Job Description

We are looking for a confident Nursing Associate with a passion for delivering outstanding care. You'll be working 37.5 hours a week making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our Acute Mental Health Unit on Coral Ward., It is essential that the Nurse Associate works within their own level of competency and expand her/his role in accordance with practice requirements and own scope of practice.

As registered professionals, nursing associates are individually accountable for their own professional conduct and practice. The nursing associates will work under the direction of a registered nurse or registered professional but may not require direct supervision. They will also be able to support, supervise and act as a role model to trainee nursing associates, healthcare support workers and those new to care roles., This is a permanent and full-time post (37.5 hours per week). The post-holder should be willing to work flexible hours and to work closely with the Multidisciplinary Team as required to support delivery of the 24/7 care on an open acute Mental Health Ward.

  • Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register

  • Educated to a minimum level 5 Foundation degree level specific to nursing associate practice, Previous experience of working within a Healthcare setting either paid or voluntary.

  • Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development

  • Lived experience of mental health issues, You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
