Full Job Description

Smiley Face Nursery is a dynamic nursery registered for 72 children. We are committed to high quality affordable childcare. We are a charity run setting supported by a committee of parents., To co-ordinate the Room Leaders and staff team and supporting in the rooms as required to ensure the smooth day to day organisation and operation of Smiley Face Nursery.
To oversee and support plans and activities to ensure that children aged 0-5 years old gain positive and appropriate early play and learning experiences.
To support the Manager/Finance Manager in the day to day running of the nursery
To deputise for the Nursery Manager in their absence.
To supervise and appraise nursery staff as directed alongside the Manager
To ensure that the preschool nursery is a safe environment for children, staff and others ensuring risk assessments are up to date and Health and Safety Guidelines are followed.
To developing partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child's development.
To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Management Team.
To support with administration requirements
To be the SENCO for the setting

LEVEL 3 Full & Relevant Early Years Qualification.

Understand the SEND Code of Practice 0-25

Have a good understanding of the EYFS.

Previous experience as Deputy manager is preferable, however full training can be given.
