    The Old Forge Day Nursery is a family run nursery that promotes a fun and homely environment for both children and staff. We strive for excellence in our care of the children and actively promote our values - BIG HEARTS, OPEN MINDS and GREAT ADVENTURES.


    • We are a registered Forest School setting based in the picturesque village of Findern, Derbyshire. Our extensive garden offers wide open spaces, wooded area, fire circle, assault course and outdoor compost toilet - so the learning doesn't ever have to stop when nature calls!

    We endeavour to bring the outdoors in with our learning and no two days will be the same. Activities within the nursery move fluidly inside and out, and we extend what we learn to develop a real love of the world around us; the environment, the community and our planet. We work closely with community groups and have an intergenerational program.
