Full Job Description

We have a great opportunity for a Nurse Administration Manager who is responsible for the day to day running of the Nurse Administration team consisting around 10 team members.
As well as fulfilling an influential role within the leadership team of Alcura, as Nurse Administration Manager you will ensure all Nurse Deliveries are arranged and successfully completed within the business SLAs. You will manage the Nurse Administration team with a 'can do attitude' to engage teams in a KPI driven culture which you will develop and implement, delivering challenging productivity targets in a busy environment.
This role will actively manage with a priority on improving the quality and efficiency of processes within the team. You will be able to recognise weaknesses in systems and your lean awareness will enable you to drive for continuous improvement and CAPA. You will have awareness of QMS and recognise the importance of adopting the Alcura Q-Pulse system in your daily activities. Complaints and Information governance issues should be immediately responded to and prioritised with preventative measures driven into the team performance.
This role is office based in Northampton with rotational shifts 8am-4pm and 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
Principle Accountabilities:

  • Maintain regular performance reviews with employees under supervision, recognising the importance of feedback and of development plans for our staff.

  • Managing day to day of the Nurse administration Team through KPI measures relating to Nurse Tasks being arranged within SLA, individual performance, Nursing Issues and advisory issues. Ensuring a performance feedback loop is in place with all Coordinators. Enabling a culture of performance management.

  • Maintain the current training system, ensuring that regular training is completed and up to date.

  • Manage with well-defined KPI process, using this system to drive performance improvements.

  • Engage the teams in CAPA, and ensure this philosophy is a cornerstone of daily activities with our teams.

  • Manage holidays, absence, manning, disciplinary and company policy within the confines of the Alcura policies and procedures.

  • Work closely with the business lead to process all Nursing activity and manage expectations accordingly.

  • Use the Alcura systems as designed, ensuring that all data is correct, and that Alcura data policies are adhered to.

  • Managing by exception, all issues which may have negative impact on the wider business, delivering corrective actions and managing expectation before issues are experienced by the business.

  • Ensuring that costs remain within budget whilst remaining safe, legal and compliant to appropriate legislation.

  • Manage relationships with other departmental teams within Alcura to support our business goals.

  • All KPI reports hold accurate information and are reported within the agreed timeframe

  • Work with the Nurse Administration team and the nursing Team to ensure that the information system reflects nursing activities.

    Strong People manager.

  • Excel and Computer Literacy

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Effective interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Work under pressure

  • Review and analyse data for decision making
