Full Job Description

East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust has recently invested in Neonatal Staffing. We are looking for a part time week day Ward Clerk (30hours per week) to cover our week day Ward Clerk whilst she is on Maternity Leave, to ensure that we are able to continue to offer administrative support and reception cover to the unit throughout the week.

This vital role provides administrative support to the unit and is often the first point of contact to visitors to the unit including parents of babies . It is therefore a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to use their administrative skills to really make a difference to the lives of vulnerable babies and their families.

To work as a team member within the work environment carrying out assigned tasks involving the indirect care of the patients, to ensure effective management of the department on a day to day basis.

We are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people. Our vision is 'great healthcare from great people'. Everything we do is guided by our values: 'People feel cared for, safe, respected and confident that we are making a difference'. We have a new way of working at East Kent Hospitals, called 'We care'. It's about empowering frontline staff to lead improvements day-to-day. We're looking for compassionate people to be part of our improvement journey for the patients, families and carers we care for every day.

Do you have excellent communication skills? Are you skilled in IT systems? Would you like to join the enthusiastic team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at WHH?
