Full Job Description

As a Multi Skilled Technician, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This role offers a variety in locations for work, environment and no two days are the same. There will be opportunities for advancement within the role and wider company.

Day-to-day, you'll conduct electrical, data, fibre and mechanical installation tasks and maintenance activities at multiple sites as well as:

  • Accurately completing associated documentation

  • Carrying out risk assessments prior to undertaking tasks and through to completion of work

  • Installing a range of infrastructure in support of front-end operational equipment

  • Maintaining skills and developing new capabilities to keep the services we offer current and in line with technical advancements and changes in legislation


  • This position involves working at height. Candidates must be able to work safely and perform tasks at varying heights.

    This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and is based on site at Ashchurch and requires regular travel across a range of internal and customer sites within the UK with the possibility of international travel.

    Essential experience of the Multi Skilled Technician
  • Experience in installing a variety of electrical infrastructure cabling and undertaking terminations and testing

  • Experience in data and fibre optic installation, termination and testing

  • Must possess an adequate knowledge of and compliance with the health and safety policy and regulations consistent with their responsibilities

  • Working knowledge of the code of practice for the in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment (4th Edition)


  • Qualifications for the Multi Skilled Technician
  • Time served electrical apprenticeship

  • City & Guilds parts one and two in electrical installations

  • City & Guilds-2391/2394/2395 certificate of inspection and testing of electrical installations

  • City & Guilds-2392 level three certificate of inspection and testing of electrical installations

  • Working knowledge of electrical installations (basic record of proven ability in related work)

  • BS7671 (latest edition) electrical wiring regulations incorporating latest amendments


  • Security Clearance
    The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
