MRF Plant Operative

You will carry out the operation of loading shovels, FLT & tele-handlers across the site, loading a variety of different types of vehicles such as curtain sided vehicles, shipping containers and bulk haulage walking floors.

The role will involve:

+ To safely and efficiently operate fixed machinery, such as bailing machines.
+ Maintaining the completion of preoperational safety and operator checks.
+ Frequently complete daily checks and maintenance of mobile plant, fixed plant and equipment used at the facility.
+ Ensuring that all deliveries of waste are in compliance with the site licence and any associated paperwork is completed.
+ To carry out inspections on incoming product(s) in line with the site waste acceptance criteria and report any non-compliant loads.
+ To direct customers vehicles to the various disposal areas and assist them with off-loading as required.
+ Ensuring the compliance with all material export requirements such as photo's, paperwork and container seals.
+ Assisting sampling operatives with collection of output samples.
+ Ensure the site is kept clean and tidy at all times and to comply fully with all company and local procedures.
+ Assisting production staff with their duties during end of shift clean-ups and plant downtime.
+ To contribute to lean and 5's activities across the site in order to maintain a clean, organised and efficient workplace.
+ To work as part of a team to maintain an efficient and cost-effective operation, ensuring that SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees.
+ Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.

Are you an experienced and licenced Mobile Plant Operator, including forklift trucks, loading shovels and tele-handlers? Would like to bring this experience to a company working for a greener UK?, We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure site operations exceed the standards required., + In order to make an immediate impact, we are ideally seeking an experienced plant operator, who holds the relevant CITB/CPCS/NPORS certification or equivalent, but for the right candidate training can be given.
+ A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
+ A safety conscious approach with the desire to develop & embrace change to promote continuous improvement.
+ Previous experience within the waste industry or other high-volume production processes is an advantage, but not a necessity.
